Placements24 is seeking a Community Support Facilitator in Cape Town to empower individuals and families by linking them with essential services. The role blends on-site community engagement with remote coordination to drive program delivery and evaluation.

You will develop workshops, build partnerships with NGOs and government bodies, and support clients navigating housing, work, and health systems. This is a hybrid, full-time position with impact-focused teamwork.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in community work or social support.
• Strong understanding of social issues affecting communities in Cape Town.
• Excellent networking, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work model.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the community.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of community members and connect them with social services and resources.
• Develop and facilitate workshops on life skills, health, and empowerment.
• Build and maintain relationships with NGOs, local organizations, and government agencies.
• Assist clients in navigating housing, employment, and healthcare systems.
• Document client interactions, progress, and outcomes in a secure database.
• Organize and coordinate community outreach events and initiatives.
