Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Community Engagement Facilitator for a fully remote contractor position. You will design and implement virtual engagement strategies, run online meetings and workshops, and build strong relationships with community members and local organizations across Paarl, Western Cape, and beyond.

You will craft clear online communications, manage digital platforms, and report insights to inform program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Community Development, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Proven experience in community engagement, facilitation, or stakeholder relations, preferably remotely.
• Excellent virtual facilitation and presentation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Zoom, Teams and digital engagement tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute virtual community engagement strategies and plans.
• Organize and facilitate online meetings, workshops, focus groups, and webinars.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, leaders, and local organizations through digital channels.
• Gather feedback and insights to inform program development and decision-making.
• Develop clear and accessible communication materials for online engagement.
• Manage online community platforms and social media channels to foster engagement.
• Document engagement activities, report findings, and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate community feedback into project planning.
• Identify opportunities to expand reach and engagement through innovative virtual methods.
