Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Community Empowerment Facilitator to join a fully remote team. Your role is to empower communities across South Africa, including Upington, Northern Cape, using digital platforms and engaging training content.

You will design life skills and entrepreneurship programs, deliver online workshops, connect participants with resources, and monitor impact while collaborating with local leaders remotely for empowerment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in community development, training facilitation, or project management.
• Design and deliver engaging content, preferably in remote contexts.
• Excellent virtual communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with online learning platforms and collaboration tools.
• Strong understanding of SA communities, especially Northern Cape.
• Creative problem-solving and ability to work remotely on multiple projects.
• Passion for empowering individuals and fostering sustainable community growth.
• Must be legally authorised to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver virtual training programs focused on life skills, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.
• Facilitate online workshops and group sessions to promote community engagement and skill development.
• Identify and connect community members with resources, funding opportunities, and support networks.
• Develop culturally relevant and accessible empowerment materials.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of empowerment initiatives.
• Collaborate with local leaders and organisations remotely to understand community needs.
• Provide one-on-one remote coaching and mentorship to participants.
• Utilise digital tools to track participant progress and program outcomes.
• Stay abreast of best practices in community development and remote facilitation.
• Contribute to strategic planning for community empowerment programs.
