Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, implement, and manage security controls across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), automate policies, and respond to security incidents.

Ideal candidates have hands-on cloud security experience, IaC expertise (Terraform, CloudFormation), and strong knowledge of IAM and encryption. Remote-first role with growth opportunities and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on with security tools on major clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• IaC tools experience (Terraform, CloudFormation) and container security.
• Strong understanding of network security, IAM, and cloud data encryption.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and automate security policies, guardrails, and compliance checks in cloud environments.
• Monitor cloud security alerts, investigate incidents, and implement remediation strategies.
• Conduct security assessments of cloud architectures and applications.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and IaC deployments.
• Stay current with cloud security best practices, threats, and compliance requirements.
