Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote Cloud Security Specialist to join the security team, working from anywhere within proximity to Polokwane. You will design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

The role requires 3+ years of cloud security experience, hands-on cloud platform expertise, and strong scripting/IaC skills. A fully remote, flexible work setting is offered with opportunities for advanced cloud security certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 3+ years of cloud security experience.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure, and GCP security services.
• Scripting and IaC experience with Python/Bash, Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of container security and microservices security.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies and best practices.
• Monitor for threats and vulnerabilities; respond to incidents.
• Review cloud architecture and apps; provide security recommendations.
• Implement and manage IAM in the cloud.
• Automate security tasks using IaC and cloud-native tools.
