Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment seeks an Infrastructure Engineer at entry level to join our Infrastructure Engineering team in Pretoria. The role focuses on supporting and maintaining Linux-based production environments and automation, using configuration management and scripting.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Linux client platforms across office and production environments.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Linux platform functionality based on business and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain Linux base images, software packages and configuration standards.
• Ensure Linux platforms comply with security, hardening and regulatory requirements.
• Install, configure, administer and support Linux systems across physical, virtual and cloud environments, including AWS.
• Monitor system performance and availability and assist with troubleshooting infrastructure issues.
• Automate deployment, configuration and operational processes using appropriate automation tools.
• Develop and maintain scripts to improve infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
