Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment in Pretoria seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who can manage Linux environments, cloud platforms, automation and enterprise infrastructure to keep critical systems secure, available and performing at peak levels.

You will work across Linux, AWS and Azure, implement automation and monitoring, apply security controls and contribute to better infrastructure practices while guiding junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux experience — RHEL, Ubuntu and/or SLES.
• Scripting/coding skills — Bash, Python, PowerShell and/or Perl.
• Strong AWS and Azure experience.
• Understanding of Linux administration and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Linux/Unix clients and servers.
• Monitor system performance, availability and capacity.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and infrastructure issues.
• Implement security best practices including patching and firewalls.
• Deploy, manage and operate workloads across AWS and Azure.
• Develop and maintain automation and configuration management.
