Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Claims Adjuster to manage insurance claims from Stellenbosch, working from home. You will investigate, evaluate, and settle claims accurately and communicate clearly with policyholders.

The role requires strong investigative and negotiation skills, thorough documentation, and a self-motivated, organized approach to a fully remote operating model.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Claims Adjuster or similar role in the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies, legal aspects, and claims investigation procedures.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High degree of organization and attention to detail for thorough documentation.
• Proficiency in claims management software and relevant digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Investigate insurance claims by gathering information, interviewing claimants and witnesses, and reviewing relevant documents.
• Determine the extent of liability and coverage based on policy terms and evidence collected.
• Evaluate damages and negotiate fair settlement amounts with policyholders and/or their representatives.
• Document all claim activities, findings, and decisions meticulously in the claims management system.
• Ensure timely processing and payment of approved claims while adhering to regulatory standards.
• Maintain professional and empathetic communication with clients throughout the claims process.
