Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer for a fully remote role supporting Paarl-based operations. You will design sustainable civil infrastructure, integrate green building concepts, and leverage BIM tools with a global virtual team.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with 5+ years of sustainable project experience, strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS, and excellent remote collaboration and communication skills to drive environmentally responsible

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required with sustainability focus.
• Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience with demonstrable sustainable projects.
• Familiarity with green building standards and environmental assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design sustainable civil infrastructure including stormwater management and renewable energy integration.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and lifecycle analyses for projects.
• Collaborate virtually with architects, environmental consultants, and project managers to embed sustainability into designs.
• Utilize BIM and advanced modeling tools to optimize environmental performance of designs.
• Research and recommend innovative materials and technologies for sustainable construction.
• Ensure designs meet environmental regulations and green building certifications (e.g., LEED).
