Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join a fully remote team focused on urban planning and sustainable development. You will design municipal infrastructure, model projects in CAD/Civil 3D, and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders from home.

The role requires 7+ years of civil engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (GIS a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering design, with urban planning and infrastructure focus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil design software.
• GIS experience is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
• Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil engineering designs for urban infrastructure projects, including site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility plans, utilizing advanced CAD software.
• Perform complex engineering calculations for stormwater runoff, traffic flow, and utility capacity, ensuring compliance with municipal codes and environmental regulations.
• Create 3D models and visualizations to communicate design concepts and technical specifications to stakeholders and the public.
• Collaborate with urban planners, landscape architects, environmental consultants, and other remote team members via virtual platforms.
• Conduct design reviews, identify challenges, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documentation for bidding and permitting.
