Placements24 is recruiting a Civil Engineer specializing in transportation and road design for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will conceptualize, design, and oversee highway, urban road, and intersection projects, collaborating with a distributed team using digital tools.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, 5+ years in transportation, PrEng preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, VISSIM, and SIDRA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PrEng registration is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in transportation and road design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, VISSIM, SIDRA.
• Strong remote communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design road alignments, intersections, and pavement for new/existing projects.
• Prepare traffic management plans, design reports, and drawings.
• Conduct traffic impact studies and recommend capacity improvements.
• Ensure compliance with national road design standards and safety regs.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams using digital platforms.
• Review contractor submittals and respond to design queries during construction.
