Placements24 is seeking a visionary Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead our cybersecurity program remotely. You will define the security vision, govern enterprise risk, and align security with business strategy across the organization.

This senior role requires deep technical and business understanding, exceptional leadership, and the ability to influence executives, legal, and partners while building a high-performing security team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in information security management.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise‑wide security strategies.
• Deep understanding of risk management and regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, NIST).
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing large budgets and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the implementation and management of information security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Manage the information security budget and ensure effective resource allocation.
• Establish and maintain relationships with executive leadership, legal, and external partners.
• Oversee incident response planning and execution, minimizing impact from breaches.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and industry regulations.
