Placements24 is seeking a Child Welfare Officer for a fully remote position. You will assess, plan, and implement child protection strategies, coordinating with schools, healthcare providers, and families across the North West region from a home office.

The role requires at least 3 years of professional experience in child welfare or related fields, strong communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• University degree in a social field; licenses or registrations not required for all roles.
• Experience in child welfare, social work, or related fields preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple cases remotely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of children's safety and well-being.
• Develop and implement child protection and intervention plans.
• Provide counseling and support to children and families.
• Coordinate referrals to education, healthcare, and legal services.
• Maintain confidential case files and prepare reports for authorities.
• Organize virtual or in-person home visits when safe.
• Deliver workshops on child welfare to communities and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on child protection laws and best practices.
