Placements24 is seeking a motivated Remote Child Welfare Officer to join its virtual team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on assessing family situations, providing remote support, and connecting children with essential resources, all through remote channels.

You will manage risk assessments, develop intervention plans, and collaborate with a remote multidisciplinary team to ensure children's safety and well-being while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Formación

• Requires relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in child welfare, social services, or similar role.
• Proven experience in risk assessment and intervention planning.
• Exceptional virtual communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport remotely.
• Strong understanding of child protection laws, policies and best practices.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct remote assessments of child safety and family circumstances using virtual platforms.
• Provide virtual support, counseling, and guidance to children and families in need.
• Facilitate remote access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and social support programs.
• Develop and monitor virtual case management plans for children and families.
• Collaborate with remote multidisciplinary teams including social workers, psychologists, and legal professionals.
• Maintain confidential electronic case files and documentation.
• Engage in virtual outreach to connect families with child welfare services.
• Act as a virtual advocate for children's rights and needs.
• Respond to and manage child protection concerns reported through remote channels.
• Participate in virtual supervision and training sessions to enhance practice.
