Placements24 is seeking a creative and experienced Remote Chemical Process Development Scientist to spearhead the innovation of new chemical products and manufacturing routes from a home office. You will collaborate with R&D chemists, engineers, and external partners to translate lab-scale discoveries into scalable, economically viable processes, enabling next-generation chemical solutions.

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in chemical process development with synthesis and scale-up focus.
• Ability to design and conduct complex experiments and interpret results.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation for chemical characterization.
• Strong writing and presentation skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to develop novel synthesis routes and optimize processes.
• Conduct bench- and pilot-scale studies to validate feasibility and data.
• Characterize products using HPLC, GC-MS, and NMR.
• Develop purification strategies to meet product specs.
• Assess safety and environmental impact of new processes.
• Prepare technical reports and contribute to IP documentation.
