Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Chemical Plant Optimization Engineer to drive efficiency across global facilities. You will analyze plant data, identify bottlenecks, and design strategies to improve yield, throughput, energy use, and product quality.

This role requires a strong background in chemical engineering and advanced analytics (Python, R, MATLAB), SPC and DOE, with the ability to collaborate virtually with site engineers and management to implement enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 6+ years of experience in chemical process operations and optimization.
• Strong data analysis skills with Python, R or MATLAB.
• Experience with SPC and DOE methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plant data to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Develop data-driven strategies to improve yield, throughput, energy use, and product quality.
• Support remote implementation of control improvements and APC strategies.
• Collaborate virtually with site engineers and management to drive performance.
