Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Catering Operations Specialist to oversee and optimize catering operations from a home office. This fully remote role supports operations across regions, including Mossel Bay, Western Cape, focusing on efficiency, quality control, and client satisfaction.

You will develop operational strategies, manage supplier relationships, ensure food safety compliance, and mentor on-site teams remotely, delivering cost savings and consistent service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of catering operations or events experience.
• Proven track record in remote work environments and self-discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine catering operations procedures to boost efficiency and quality.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify improvement areas.
• Manage relationships with food suppliers and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards across sites.
• Provide remote guidance to on-site teams and managers.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to ensure seamless client experiences from inquiry to execution.
• Create and update operating manuals and training materials.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges before they impact service delivery.
