Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Catering Operations Analyst to optimize operational efficiency and improve client satisfaction across service areas. You will collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in a fully remote role.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in data analytics, BI tools, and catering/hospitality operations, with 4+ years of relevant experience and excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Business Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, Hospitality Management, or related area.
• Minimum of 4 years in data/operations analysis or a similar role, preferably in catering or hospitality.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced), Tableau, Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Strong statistical analysis and data modeling knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with ability to explain insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

About the Role Our client, a rapidly expanding national catering group, is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Remote Catering Operations Analyst. This position is integral to optimizing our operational efficiency and enhancing client satisfaction across all our service areas. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting vast amounts of operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate is a meticulous problem-solver with a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, and a solid understanding of the catering and hospitality industry. This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work from your home office while making a significant impact on our business.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze operational data from various sources, including service delivery, client feedback, and financial reports.
• Develop dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) related to catering operations.
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in operational data to pinpoint areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to support strategic decision-making regarding menu optimization, staffing, logistics, and resource allocation.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to operations managers and executive leadership.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data sources, methodologies, and analytical processes.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented operational changes and provide ongoing feedback.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to improve data collection systems and reporting tools.
• Stay updated on industry best practices in data analytics and catering operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, Hospitality Management, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis, operations analysis, or a similar role, preferably within the catering or hospitality sector.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel (advanced), Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI software.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis methods and data modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with catering operations, logistics, and supply chain management is highly desirable.
• Must have a dedicated home office space with reliable high-speed internet.
