Placements24 is seeking a creative and highly organized Remote Catering Event Planner to design and execute catering experiences for clients in Nelspruit and surrounding areas. The role is remote, acting as the main client contact to translate vision into exquisite food and flawless logistics.

You will manage menus, vendor partnerships, timelines, staffing, and on-site coordination, ensuring top-tier service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in catering-focused event planning.
• Creative menu design and event conceptualization.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong remote communication and client management abilities.
• Proficiency with event management software, CRMs, and virtual tools.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and catering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand event requirements, theme, budget, and desired atmosphere.
• Develop menu proposals considering dietary needs and client preferences.
• Source and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Create detailed event plans, including timelines, staffing needs, floor plans, and logistics.
• Oversee the remote execution of events, providing direction and troubleshooting as needed.
• Conduct post-event debriefs with clients and internal teams to ensure satisfaction.
