Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative and organized Remote Catering Event Planner to support Durban-based operations. In this fully remote role, you will plan end-to-end catering events, collaborate with clients to capture their vision, curate menus, and manage logistics from your own workspace.

You will coordinate with culinary teams, staff and vendors, oversee timelines and budgets, and address client concerns to ensure memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning, catering or hospitality.
• Creativity in menu design and event conceptualization.
• Strong project management with multiple events.
• Proficiency with virtual collaboration tools for client communication.
• Excellent negotiation and communication with clients and suppliers remotely.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to conceptualize and plan catering experiences, understanding their specific needs and preferences.
• Develop detailed event proposals, including menu selections, staffing requirements, and budget breakdowns.
• Coordinate with culinary teams, event staff, and external vendors to ensure flawless event execution.
• Manage event timelines, confirm bookings, and oversee all logistical arrangements, from setup to teardown.
• Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally to ensure complete satisfaction.
