Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Broadband Deployment Manager to lead network expansion initiatives in a fully remote role within South Africa. You will plan, execute, and deliver broadband projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, while guiding remote engineers, contractors, and field personnel.

The role requires strong project management, a deep understanding of network infrastructure, and the ability to motivate remote teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on telecommunications or broadband network deployments.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic networks, wireless technologies, and deployment methodologies.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (MS Project, Asana).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, especially in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of broadband network deployment projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams remotely.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Communicate project status and key decisions to senior management and stakeholders.
