Job summary

Blacksmith Agency seeks a Sales Development Representative to open doors and drive pipeline across South Africa. You’ll own the top of the funnel—researching, sourcing and booking meetings with qualified decision makers, and crafting the first impression of Blacksmith to potential clients.

This role is remote within South Africa with full-time commitment. You will use LinkedIn, SalesLoft, Apollo, and Salesforce to hit volume goals while preserving high-quality outreach.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a similar SDR/BDR role; agency or SaaS experience is a plus.
• Strong written communication and ability to personalize outreach.
• Familiarity with outbound tools (Sales Navigator, SalesLoft, Apollo, ZoomInfo).
• Comfortable using Salesforce and managing your own pipeline.
• Gritty, curious and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Source and research ideal accounts based on our ICP.
• Identify decision makers and build accurate contact lists.
• Craft and execute personalized outbound sequences via email, LinkedIn and phone.
• Book qualified discovery calls for our Account Executives.
• Maintain clean records in Salesforce and SalesLoft.
• Test messaging, optimize targeting and tighten feedback loops with the sales team.
