Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Aviation Safety Manager to lead SMS programs for global aviation clients. This fully remote role focuses on hazard identification, risk assessment, and proactive safety governance across airlines, airports, and MROs.

You will develop, implement, and monitor safety management systems, train personnel, analyze safety data, and report trends while fostering a strong safety culture from anywhere in the world.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace, or related field required.
• Master's degree or CSP/CIH certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive aviation safety experience with SMS expertise.
• Proven track record implementing safety programs for airlines, airports, or MROs.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO Annex 19, EASA, FAA, SACAA.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Safety Management Systems (SMS) in compliance with ICAO, EASA, SACAA.
• Conduct safety risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to various levels of personnel.
• Monitor SPIs and SPTs, reporting on trends and areas for improvement.
• Establish and manage safety reporting systems with timely reporting of incidents.
