Placements24 seeks a Remote Automotive Systems Engineer to design and develop advanced vehicle systems from anywhere in South Africa. You will collaborate with global teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and integrate subsystems for autonomous driving, powertrain, and vehicle dynamics.

The role emphasizes model-based design with MATLAB/Simulink, control theory, ISO 26262, and cross-functional collaboration in an agile, remote environment.

Formación

• Master's or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Significant automotive systems engineering experience, especially ADAS/powertrain/chassis control.
• Experience with system modeling and simulation tools; ISO 26262 knowledge preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Define, architect, and integrate complex automotive systems; ensure performance and functionality.
• Develop system requirements, specs, and validation plans with cross-functional teams.
• Use modeling and simulation tools to design and test system behavior (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues across the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and mechanical engineers in a remote, agile environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of system design processes and methodologies.
