Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Automotive Technical Support Specialist to assist customers and technicians nationwide from Upington or any approved location. You will troubleshoot complex automotive issues, guide repairs and diagnostics, and rely on extensive product knowledge to resolve technical challenges remotely.

Responsibilities include documenting interactions in the CRM, staying current with technologies, and escalating complex cases to senior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Automotive Technician or Master Mechanic.
• In-depth knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical systems and HVAC.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scanners, and software.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical assistance to customers and repair shops regarding vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical automotive problems, offering effective solutions.
• Interpret diagnostic data, service manuals, and technical bulletins to guide users.
• Document all technical support interactions, resolutions, and feedback in the CRM system.
• Stay current with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior technical staff or product development teams as needed.
