Placements24 is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join a fully remote engineering team. The role focuses on embedding security into the SDLC, working with developers to remediate vulnerabilities and promote secure coding practices.

You will conduct security testing and guide secure design across projects. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in application security, a Bachelor's in CS/SE, and hands-on experience with SAST/DAST tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in application security or secure software development.
• Strong understanding of web application vulnerabilities and secure coding principles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#) is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Integrate security into the SDLC by working with development teams on secure design and coding practices.
• Perform security reviews of application source code and architecture.
• Conduct static (SAST) and dynamic (DAST) application security testing.
• Identify, triage, and track security vulnerabilities through to remediation.
• Develop and maintain security automation tools and pipelines.
• Provide guidance and training to developers on application security best practices.
