Placements24 is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join the QA team, working fully remotely from South Africa. Develop, validate and execute analytical methods to ensure the quality and purity of chemical products using HPLC, GC, MS and ICP, while documenting results for regulatory submissions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Analytical Chemistry (or a related field) with at least five years of practical method development experience, strong GMP/ISO knowledge, and excellent

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical method development and validation.
• Extensive hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, MS, and other relevant analytical techniques.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, ISO).
• Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage tasks independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement robust analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Perform routine and non-routine analyses using HPLC, GC, MS, ICP and other instruments.
• Interpret complex analytical data, troubleshoot instrument issues, and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Prepare detailed analytical reports, certificates of analysis, and documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to provide analytical support for product development and troubleshooting.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure proper calibration, and adhere to GLP.
