Placements24 is seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to join a pharmaceutical research division in Stellenbosch. This hybrid role focuses on analytical challenges in drug development and quality control, employing HPLC, GC-MS, UV-Vis, and FTIR to ensure purity and stability.

You will develop and validate methods, interpret data, and collaborate with R&D to support project goals while adhering to GMP and regulatory requirements. A detail-oriented professional will thrive here.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical analysis or a related industry.
• Hands-on experience with analytical techniques including HPLC, GC-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR.
• Knowledge of ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for materials and finished products.
• Perform routine and non-routine analyses using HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis, FTIR.
• Analyze data and ensure GMP compliance.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and report findings.
• Prepare analytical reports and collaborate with formulation scientists and R&D teams.
