Placements24 is seeking an AI Ethics Specialist to join their responsible AI team in a fully remote role from Klerksdorp. You will help shape ethical guidelines, assess risks, and promote fair AI practices across the organization.

The role requires a Master’s-level qualification with AI ethics specialization and 3+ years’ experience in AI ethics or technology policy. Strong communication and analysis skills are essential for success in this remote position.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Computer Science, or related field with specialization in AI ethics.
• 3+ years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their societal implications.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate complex ethical dilemmas and propose practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI ethics frameworks, policies, and best practices.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for new AI models and applications, identifying biases and harms.
• Provide guidance and training to development teams on responsible AI principles.
• Monitor AI systems for ethical compliance and fairness, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with legal, policy, and engineering teams to ensure responsible AI governance.
