Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior AI Ethics and Governance Specialist to lead the development and implementation of ethics guidelines, policies, and governance frameworks for AI initiatives, with a fully remote working arrangement.

You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, legal teams, and executives to ensure responsible AI deployment, manage risk, promote transparency, and align projects with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Computer Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, technology policy, or related domains.
• Deep understanding of AI technologies, machine learning concepts, and their societal implications.
• Proven ability to develop and implement governance frameworks and ethical guidelines.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working in a global or complex organizational environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics guidelines, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for AI projects and products.
• Provide expert guidance and training on AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI systems are developed and deployed in alignment with ethical principles and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor advancements in AI ethics research and policy, and advise on strategic implications.
• Advocate for responsible AI innovation and foster a culture of ethical awareness across the organization.
