Placements24 is seeking a Remote AI Ethicist & Governance Specialist to establish and uphold ethical frameworks for AI development and deployment. You will work remotely with teams across time zones to ensure responsible, fair, and transparent AI systems.

The role focuses on policy development, risk assessments, and training to anticipate regulatory changes and mitigate societal harms in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in ethics, philosophy, law, computer science or related field with a focus on AI ethics.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in AI ethics, governance or responsible AI.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine policies for ethical AI development and deployment.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify biases and societal harms in AI systems.
• Advise engineering and product teams on responsible AI practices and compliance.
• Lead training and awareness programs on AI ethics and governance.
• Monitor regulatory changes and evolve governance frameworks.
