Job summary

Placements24 seeks an AI Ethics Officer for a fully remote role. You will champion ethical AI principles, develop policies, conduct reviews, and ensure all AI initiatives align with societal values and regulatory requirements.

Work with legal, compliance, product, and engineering teams to embed ethics, provide training, monitor standards, and guide responsible innovation. Ideal candidates have an advanced degree in ethics or related field and at least six years in ethics, compliance or AI

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in ethics or related field with tech emphasis.
• Minimum 6 years in ethics, compliance, responsible AI or governance.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML ethics: bias, fairness, transparency, accountability.
• Knowledge of AI/data privacy laws and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to develop and implement ethical frameworks and policies.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies and guidelines.
• Conduct ethical impact assessments and risk analyses for AI projects.
• Provide guidance and training to teams on ethical AI development and deployment.
• Monitor compliance with ethical standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Investigate and address ethical concerns related to AI systems and data usage.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, product, and engineering teams to embed ethical considerations.
• Stay informed about emerging ethical challenges and regulatory changes in AI.
• Facilitate discussions and workshops on AI ethics across the organization.
• Contribute to the company’s external communications on AI ethics and responsible innovation.
