Placements24 is seeking a pragmatic AI Ethics and Governance Specialist on a contract basis. You will help develop frameworks to ensure responsible AI development and deployment while working remotely with cross-functional teams.

You will lead governance processes, advise on ethical considerations across the AI lifecycle, and contribute to regulatory understanding and employee training to foster trust in our AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Law, Philosophy, Public Policy, CS, or Ethics.
• Proven experience in AI ethics, governance, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and AI technologies.
• Familiarity with regulations and industry standards related to AI.
• Excellent analytical, research, and policy development skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine AI ethics principles, guidelines, and best practices tailored to the business context.
• Establish and manage AI governance processes, including risk assessments and compliance monitoring.
• Advise project teams on ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Conduct research on emerging AI ethics issues and regulatory landscapes globally.
• Develop training materials and conduct workshops to promote ethical AI awareness across the organization.
• Collaborate with legal, policy, and engineering teams to integrate ethical considerations into AI systems.
