Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a driven New Business Development Manager to spearhead growth in Mahikeng, North West. You will identify new agricultural market opportunities, build strategic partnerships with farmers, cooperatives, and government bodies, and drive adoption of our AgriTech solutions.

You will lead the full BD cycle from outreach to negotiation, analyze markets, and collaborate with product and marketing teams to position solutions for sustainable farming, reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• 5+ years in BD, sales or partnerships, preferably in AgriTech.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess new opportunities and market segments within agriculture, especially Mahikeng.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate new markets and drive revenue growth.
• Build and nurture relationships with farmers, cooperatives, associations, government bodies and other stakeholders.
• Lead BD lifecycle from outreach and qualification to proposal, negotiation and contract finalization.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy and product positioning.
• Collaborate with product, marketing and technical teams for onboarding and alignment.
• Represent the company at agricultural expos and industry events.
• Provide strategic insights to senior management on market trends and BD initiatives.
• Contribute to mission of enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability through technology.
