You will conduct market analyses, assess value chains, and foster strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, distributors, and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agricultural Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, or marketing within the agricultural or agribusiness sector.
• Proven track record of identifying and launching new business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess new business opportunities, market trends, and potential partnerships within the agricultural sector.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive growth, increase market share, and enhance profitability.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies for proposed ventures.
• Build and maintain relationships with farmers, suppliers, distributors, and industry partners.
• Negotiate and finalize commercial agreements, contracts, and joint ventures.
• Oversee implementation of new business initiatives aligned with company objectives.
• Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes affecting agri-business, and technological advancements.
• Prepare business cases, financial projections, and presentations for senior management approval.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the company's agri-business portfolio in Gauteng.
