Placements24 is seeking a Remote Mechanical Design Engineer for a pioneering aerospace component manufacturer. You will design and develop high-performance components for aircraft and spacecraft, handling full lifecycle from concept to production support while collaborating with international teams.

This remote-first role requires senior experience with CATIA V5/V6, FEA (ANSYS/Abaqus), and strong materials knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 6+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6; SolidWorks a plus.
• Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop aerospace components and systems per AS9100.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings in CATIA/SolidWorks.
• Perform FEA for stress, thermal, and vibration studies.
• Collaborate with international teams via digital tools.
• Contribute to design reviews and feedback incorporation.
• Oversee prototyping and testing; drive design iterations.
• Document calculations and results for records and compliance.
• Evaluate new materials and technologies for aerospace design.
