Placements24, on behalf of a pioneering aerospace technology company, is seeking a highly skilled Remote Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop aerospace components. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work with a world-class engineering team, designing complex mechanical systems and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards such as FAA/EASA.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 7+ years in mechanical design, and expert CAD

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design, aerospace focus.
• Expert CAD experience (CATIA, Siemens NX) and FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, STAR-CCM+).
• Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing techniques, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for aerospace applications using advanced CAD software.
• Perform detailed engineering analyses (FEA, CFD, thermal) to validate designs.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials compliant with aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with a globally dispersed team via virtual channels and manage documentation.
