Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Remote Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to aerospace projects from a home office. You will conceptualize, design, and analyze complex mechanical components and systems for next-generation flight applications, including structures, thermal management, and propulsion components.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in mechanical design, expertise in CATIA V5 or Siemens NX, plus FEA tools (ANSYS or Abaqus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 6+ years of mechanical design experience, aerospace focus preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD/FEA tools (CATIA V5 or NX; ANSYS or Abaqus).
• Knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop aerospace mechanical components using CAD software.
• Conduct detailed stress, thermal, and vibration analyses (FEA).
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with distributed team via virtual platforms and meetings.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities remotely.
