Placements24 is seeking a Senior Aerospace Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of critical aerospace components from a remote setting. You will perform advanced analyses, create CAD models and BOMs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet stringent safety and reliability standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive testing programs, and push for continuous improvements in design processes while managing project schedules.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 10+ years in aerospace mechanical design and analysis.
• Proficient with CATIA, NX and FEA/CFD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and development of critical aerospace components and systems.
• Perform advanced analyses: stress, vibration, thermal, and fatigue.
• Create CAD models, drawings and BOMs to aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
• Develop and execute rigorous testing plans for components and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex design issues during development and production.
• Ensure designs meet safety, performance, and reliability requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide complex design challenges.
• Contribute to process and tool improvements in design workflows.
• Manage project schedules and deliverables for mechanical tasks.
