Placements24 client, a pioneer in automotive technology, seeks a remote Automotive Software Engineer specialized in ADAS. You will design, develop, and implement embedded software for ADAS features from anywhere in South Africa, contributing to safer and smarter mobility.

The role requires C/C++ expertise, RTOS experience, and familiarity with CAN and Automotive Ethernet. You will collaborate with a global team, perform testing and validation, participate in code reviews, and help advance

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Proven embedded software development experience in C/C++ for automotive.
Experience with ADAS development or related fields (robotics/vision/control).
Familiarity with CAN and Automotive Ethernet protocols.
Experience with RTOS and software development lifecycle, Agile, Git.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test embedded software for ADAS features.
Collaborate with hardware engineers, system architects, and safety experts to define requirements.
Implement algorithms for sensor fusion, perception, and control systems.
Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed.
Develop and maintain tools for simulation, testing, and validation of ADAS.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects in development and production environments.
Document software designs, implementations, and test procedures.
