Job summary

Sleek is seeking a hands-on accounting professional for a remote role in South Africa to manage a diverse client portfolio end-to-end, including year-end accounts, taxes, and VAT. You’ll coach a small team, review their work, and explain complex numbers to clients, while collaborating with Product, Tech, Sales and Support to optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• Own end-to-end client portfolio with accountability for on-time, accurate filings and client outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to coach and develop junior colleagues to improve quality and efficiency.
• Proactive collaboration with Product, Tech, Sales and Support to resolve root causes and improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Run your portfolio end to end: year end accounts, tax returns, VAT returns and compliance statements.
• Review and sign off your team’s work, coaching for accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare management accounts for clients and explain numbers to clients clearly.
• Chase deadlines early when delays occur and communicate impacts to clients.
• Maintain accurate client records and workflow data for auditability.
• Collaborate with Product, Tech, Sales and Support to fix problems at source.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline processes and improve client outcomes.
