Placements24 is seeking a Remote Financial Accountant to manage comprehensive financial reporting and accounting processes in a fully remote role. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive financial accounting experience, strong IFRS knowledge, and proficiency with Sage Intacct or NetSuite and advanced Excel.

You will oversee the general ledger, prepare statements, run reconciliations, assist budgeting and forecasting, and support audits while working independently in a remote environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CA(SA) or ACCA is highly desirable.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software: Sage Intacct, NetSuite and advanced Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Adaptability and openness to new technologies and workflows.
