Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote 5G Network Specialist to deploy and manage next-generation networks, with a focus on Durban. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to design, deploy, and optimize 5G core and RAN components across distributed teams worldwide.

You will monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain robust network documentation while staying informed on NR/NSA/SA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of mobile network engineering with 5G expertise.
• Strong knowledge of NR, NSA, SA protocols and 5G architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy 5G core network elements and RAN in remote setting.
• Monitor performance and optimize speed, latency, reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex 5G issues and identify root causes.
• Develop and maintain documentation for 5G configurations and procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure integration and support of 5G technologies.
• Stay updated on 5G developments and standards.
