Placements24 is recruiting a Remote Mechanical Design Engineer specialized in 3D modeling to join a distributed engineering team. You will create intricate 3D models and detailed 2D drawings for advanced mechanical components and assemblies used in specialized machinery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on 3D mechanical design experience, expert proficiency in major CAD tools, and a strong portfolio. This fully remote role supports global collaboration and impactful projects.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on 3D mechanical design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor or Creo and 2D drafting.
• Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes for complex machinery.
• Ability to work remotely with strong self-motivation.
• Excellent communication for virtual collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering sketches and specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Develop highly detailed and accurate 3D models of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using advanced CAD software.
• Generate comprehensive 2D manufacturing drawings with precise dimensions, tolerances, and annotations.
• Collaborate virtually with mechanical engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and translate concepts into tangible models.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly, and performance, considering various production methods.
• Perform design checks and reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards and client specifications.
• Maintain version control and manage CAD data effectively in a cloud-based environment.
• Assist in the creation of technical documentation, including BOMs and assembly instructions.
• Stay current with advancements in CAD software and 3D modeling techniques.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and provide technical input during design discussions.
