Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer to join its engineering team. You will design and optimize mechanical components and systems for industrial machinery using CAD and advanced FEA tools.

The role is fully remote, requiring independent work across a global engineering group. You will contribute to prototypes, testing, and validation while staying current with manufacturing technologies and design best practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5-7 years of mechanical design and engineering analysis experience.
• Expertise in 3D CAD software and advanced FEA tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, ANSYS, Abaqus).
• Ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for industrial machinery using CAD.
• Perform stress, thermal, vibration, and fatigue analyses using FEA tools.
• Create drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
• Document design decisions and analysis results.
• Stay current with advances in mechanical design and manufacturing tech.
