Placements24 is seeking a Head of Retail Operations to oversee the Benoni/Gauteng store network. You will drive sales performance, optimize store operations, manage staff, and ensure an exceptional customer experience across all outlets.

The role requires deep retail acumen, strong leadership, and a proven ability to manage multi-site operations in a competitive market. Travel within Gauteng and base in/around Benoni are expected.

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and has substantial retail leadership experience.
• Minimum of 8 years in retail management, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple store locations.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency in a retail environment.
• Strong understanding of retail best practices, inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and operational objectives for all retail stores in the designated region.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of retail stores with focus on visual merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
• Lead, mentor, and develop regional managers and store staff to foster a high-performance culture.
• Monitor KPIs such as sales, conversion rates, average transaction value, and customer satisfaction and drive improvements.
• Manage operational budgets for the retail division, ensuring cost control and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations across all stores.
• Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and HR to execute brand strategies and initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for operational enhancements and implement best practices across the store network.
• Conduct regular store visits and performance reviews to ensure brand consistency and efficiency in Benoni and Gauteng.
