Isilumko Staffing (Jhb) represents our client in the Western Cape, seeking a Business Development Officer to expand recycling opportunities and grow volumes. You will identify new business opportunities, build relationships with suppliers, customers and stakeholders, and drive regional growth through strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales, Environmental Management or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in business development, sales or stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel within the Western Cape and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the recycling and environmental services sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers and other key stakeholders.
• Grow recycling volumes and establish glass collection points and related infrastructure.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify potential growth opportunities.
• Manage a pipeline of opportunities from initial engagement through to implementation.
• Represent the organisation professionally at industry events, meetings and stakeholder engagements.
• Travel within the Western Cape as required.
