Job summary

Isilumko Staffing seeks a Regional Business Development Officer to drive cullet recovery growth across inland South Africa. You will expand intake, manage supplier partnerships, and implement regional strategies to improve glass recycling volumes.

The role requires strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and strong project management, with a willingness to travel within designated regions. Hybrid work arrangements are offered to support regional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 4 years in a related role with strategic planning and stakeholder management.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, willing to travel within designated regions.
• Proven ability to identify new business opportunities and develop sustainable supplier relationships.
• Strong project management skills with end-to-end execution capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Expand cullet intake by identifying recovery opportunities and converting them into active collection sources.
• Meet budgeted intake targets through structured pipeline management and regional tracking.
• Develop practical recovery methods for high-potential areas with clear growth actions.
• Support new and existing suppliers to increase cullet volumes per growth plans.
• Maintain regional glass recycling performance data to support forecasts and reports.
• Develop and maintain regional forecasts translating historical performance into forward-looking intake expectations.
• Identify underperforming areas and define corrective actions with monitoring.
• Propose projects to increase cullet collections and strengthen supplier capability.
• Implement approved projects with milestones and progress reporting.
• Place glass banks in high-impact locations to maximize recovery volumes.
• Source strategic recovery areas, new collectors, agencies, and supplier partners.
• Develop viable cullet sources from identification to early performance monitoring.
• Establish long-term supplier relationships for reliable volume growth.
• Liaise with local authorities and community stakeholders to remove barriers and sustain performance.
• Establish infrastructure for glass collection across the region.
• Stimulate cullet growth through targeted campaigns and community activation.
