Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding logistics and supply chain company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee operations in the Benoni area, Gauteng. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and effective management of warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities within the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing operational performance, managing staff, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize all day-to-day logistics and warehousing operations within the Benoni region.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, drivers, and administrative personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operations, such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and cost per unit.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure efficient stock control procedures.
• Oversee transportation and fleet management, ensuring optimal route planning and vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, with a strong focus on logistics and warehousing.
• Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain principles, warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
