About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to lead their operations in Randburg . This role demands a leader who can effectively manage the entire logistics function, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance across all supply chain activities. You will be responsible for overseeing transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and third-party logistics providers, driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high service levels for customers in the Gauteng region. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending on-site leadership with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
• Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to align with company objectives and optimize the supply chain.
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners, negotiating contracts and service levels.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Lead and develop the logistics team, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor logistics costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in logistics operations management , supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex logistics networks and optimizing supply chain performance.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent understanding of transportation modes, warehousing strategies, and inventory management techniques.
• Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems; experience with TMS and WMS is essential.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
